Thanks, y’all!
In 2019 I started gathering mushrooms to arrange and photograph. The pandemic hit along with one of the areas best mushroom years on record. This resulted in me having lots of time to gather mushrooms, arrange and photograph pieces, all while having the choicest mix of mushrooms available.
My instagram account gather more traction as the mushroom craze hit America. It was a joyful ride to be on. Two different publishing houses bought images to use as puzzles and you can still find them on Amazon. I met lots of different mushroom enthusiast around the world. And this whole Small Woodland Things has taken me to places that I never imagined.
Today, I am not making as much art as I did in previous years. I am enjoying doing different art and craft projects that are for my own enjoyment and spending time with IRL friends. Additionally, I am having to focus more time and energy on the business that my husband and I own. I still enjoy being outside and learning about the relationship of different species to one another. It is comforting to see old friends and meet new ones out in the woods. But overall, things are winding down at Small Woodland Things. In the mean time, please, avail yourself to some of the resources and guides I have created concerning mushrooms at the Resources page.
