Gathered and photographed in April of 2024, this photo has literally 18 morels in it. Other seasonal beauties in the arrangement are Virginia pennywort (the small stacked white flowers with purplish/green leaves, new Christmas fern fronds, late trout litlly leaves, the dying leaves from putty-root orchids (the purplish/red leaves behind the center morels). There are also Carolina allspice flowers, and barberry leaf clusters make up the background. This was all arranged together and photographed as one.
